Get help with a bill or pay one forward

Share a bill, cover a project cost or support a life goal.

Everyone can give. You do not have to be a billionaire to help.

A profile sets an amount range and milestones. A crowd can pledge parts, while specific costs are paid straight to the confirmed recipient.

Bored Billionaires is not debt advice, a bank, or a lender. It does not promise an outcome. If you are in financial difficulty, an official free advice service can review your wider options.

01

Three steps to a direct payment

  1. Profile and evidence

A debt, project, or life goal is submitted with an amount range and milestones. Specific costs include evidence.

  2. Review and crowd pledge

Evidence is reviewed. Several supporters share the open amount without rewards or rankings.

  3. Pay the issuer

Once details are released, the supporter pays the confirmed creditor or supplier. Bored Billionaires never holds funds.

02

A fair order for every profile

Waiting time makes up 65% of the order and a daily random factor 35%. Debt, project, and life-goal profiles use the same rule. No one can buy a better position.

03

Review with clear limits

Public profiles contain limited information. Evidence is encrypted and removed after review. Review reduces risk but cannot detect every false document.

Help with a bill starts with a specific cost

Whether you need help paying rent, a utility bill or a medical bill, show the open amount and the company or creditor to be paid. A clear request helps a supporter decide what they can cover.

  1. Prepare the evidence

Use a bill, statement or quote. Keep account numbers, addresses and medical details out of your public story. Upload evidence through the private review form.

  2. Share the amount

A supporter can pledge part of the balance. For a project or life goal, use milestones to show which documented cost comes next. This is crowdfunding through separate direct payments.

  3. If you want to pay someone’s bill

Sign in, choose a reviewed profile and pledge an amount you can give. Wait for recipient details, then check them before transferring. The app does not make the payment for you.

Help is voluntary and may not arrive. Do not wait for a pledge when a bill is urgent; the advice service below can help you explore other options. Clearly marked direct gifts for life goals go to the person, outside BB.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the bored billionaires app from the viral post?

Bored Billionaires is an independent project inspired by @destiny_ndlovu’s post of 22 October 2026. It is not affiliated with the author or with Elon Musk. Several developers have built apps around the idea.

Do billionaires really pay?

Anyone can give, whatever their wealth. We do not claim that billionaires use BB. A profile or pledge does not guarantee a payment or full funding.

How does the money get to my creditor?

After a pledge, you release the confirmed recipient details to that supporter. They make the transfer themselves, outside BB, directly to your creditor or bill issuer. A payment only counts as confirmed after its evidence is reviewed. BB never holds the money.

Will I receive cash?

For bills, a supporter pays the confirmed creditor or bill issuer. Only clearly labelled direct gifts for life goals go to the person outside BB.

Is Bored Billionaires a debt advice service?

No. Bored Billionaires connects reviewed profiles with pledges. A free debt adviser can assess your full situation and legal options.

Can a crowd support a life goal?

Yes. Several people can pledge parts up to the upper limit. Specific costs go to the named recipient; clearly marked direct gifts happen outside Bored Billionaires.
